Notes: The result of a design competition between six select architects, this entrance feature is not only 'The Gateway to the Campus', but is also intended to display the essence of the Cranbrook campus from Woodward Avenue. Dan Hoffman, at the time of design and construction of the entrance feature, was also serving as an Artist-in-Residence and head of the Architecture department at the Cranbrook Academy of Art.
